Here is another great recipe for using mince – I generally make these with turkey mince but you can also use veal or chicken. Season a bit more with the chicken mince.

These are a yummy dinner with pasta or vegies and are also yummy made without the tomato sauce (made in the pan until cooked or baked) with some dipping sauce for dinner or in a lunchbox. Enjoy

WHAT YOU NEED
500g turkey mince

1 small onion finely chopped

2 garlic cloves chopped

sage and basil(about 10 leaves of each) 

Rosemary and thyme – leaves from a couple of stalks of each

1/4 cup parsley (i use flat leaf)

1 large handful rocket

some salt and pepper

About 1 litre passata

2-3 tablespoons olive oil

WHAT TO DO

Combine onions, garlic and greens in food processor and blend til  very finely chopped

Stir into the turkey and season

Roll into balls – about the size of a ping pong ball

Heat the passata in a pot

Heat oil in a big fry pan and cook the balls until they are browned all over (about 2-3 min each side)

Pop them into the simmering passata and cook covered for about 30 mins
